Phoenix Pool & Gym

Phoenix Pool & Gym opens to the public after extension and refurbishment.

The project involved a refit of the existing pool hall and a full strip out of the existing change area, providing a brand new village change facility. A brand new 2 story gym was added to the existing building as well as a brand new thermal suite.

The facility is for use of both local residents and school students. Over two floors the new extension comprises of a new entrance and reception, with a link corridor leading the new 66 station gym and spin studio.

All areas including the Gym and Spin Studio are provided with heating and cooling from Heat Pump Air Conditioning units with condensers located at the rear of the extension. Ventilation in the Gym, Studio and Village change is provided from a de-centralised local unit system and the pool hall & thermal suite ventilation been supplied by a central bespoke supply and extract air handling unit incorporating heat recovery and located at the rear of the existing building.

Lighting throughout is LED with presence detection provided to changing rooms,. Feature colour change lighting is provided to the Gym Functional Training Rig and Weights Areas.

All services to the first floor Gym are exposed portraying a popular industrial look.
